Jason is a specialist divorce and family lawyer with an emphasis on helping his clients find an amicable solution wherever possible. He has a well-established, successful practice in dealing with divorce cases involving mid to high-level assets. He has extensive experience dealing with cases involving complex issues to include company arrangements, farms, trusts, and business leaders.

Jason also deals with cases involving unmarried couples where properties and/or businesses are involved.

Jason also has a niche practice dealing with cases under the Schedule 1 Children Act 1989. These are cases where an unmarried parent of a child requires capital from the other parent, or monies for housing funds. These cases can also include maintenance top-up orders being made by the Court in appropriate cases.

Jason will also deal with cases involving children. These cases are usually complex and involve serious allegations being made by one party against the other, or where one parent is seeking to relocate with the children either within the county or overseas.

Jason is trained in most areas of non-court dispute resolution (NCDR) and can work with his clients in Mediation, Collaborative family law, or Resolution Together which allows him to represent both couples in a divorce in appropriate cases. Jason helps his clients find the right approach for them and will seek to avoid a negotiated assessment away from court wherever possible.

Jason is a member of the Hampshire Family Legal Solution (HFLS) POD, and also the Solent Collaborative POD.

Jason was a founding member of HFLS, which is a process which promotes identifying issues at the initial stages of relationship breakdowns. The process is very different to most, in that it encourages the couple to work with other professionals to achieve the best outcome for their family, with an emphasis being on working in the best interests of the children. Jason worked on the first HFLS case, and the group and its process are now well established and has helped many families find an amicable solution.

Jason was appointed as a fee-paid judge of the First-Tier Tribunal in 2024. He has been assigned to the Health, Education, and Social care chamber to deal with cases involving children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Jason has been in legal practice since 1992 and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in May 2003.
